Returning EIDL Procedure

Do you find yourself in need of returning your SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL)?  If your business decided to not keep an EIDL Loan, please use the following instructions to repay the full amount* of the EIDL Loan to the SBA as follows.

*NOTE: Interest accrues daily.  Some EIDL loans may have also incurred a $100 UCC filing fee. Borrowers are responsible for all accrued interest as well as the $100 fee. To ensure you pay off the full amount owed, including and interest and fees, please contact your Service Office and request a payoff amount prior to submitting payment.

  1. Make a check payable to “SBA.” You will include three (3) items on the memo line:
    a) Write “EIDL Return”
    b) Write the 10-digit EIDL application number
    c) Write the business name OR borrower’s name OR Tax ID number
  2. Mail the check to Small Business Administration (SBA), 721 19th St., Denver, CO 80202
