Bringing Compassion Back to Medicine
Danna Moisii, PA-C, MPAS, began her medical career in Arizona, where she completed medical school and worked in internal medicine. When she and her husband moved back to the Soldotna area, to be closer to family, they immediately recognized a growing need for additional healthcare providers. Wanting to give back to the community she grew up in, Danna set out to open her own clinic with a mission to deliver patient-centered, compassionate care.
At Ravencrest Medical, the focus is on bringing compassion back into medicine. Too often, patients feel like just another number in the healthcare system. Danna and her team strive to provide a personalized experience by listening to patients’ concerns, staying current on the latest research, and being open to evidence-based alternative therapies. “Medicine is about the wellness of the person as an individual,” Danna explains. “It’s not about putting patients through algorithms. We are here as a guide to help patients find wellness.”
When laying out her business plan for Ravencrest Medical, Danna connected with Cliff Cochran of the Alaska SBDC. Cliff worked closely with her to build financial projections and develop a solid business plan that ultimately helped secure the capital necessary to open the clinic.
