PTAC Contract Specialist – Fairbanks
Are you passionate about small business and knowledgeable in government contracting? If so, an excellent opportunity exists with the Fairbanks office of the Alaska Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) as a Contract Specialist. Share your expertise and knowledge with a variety of businesses across the state to better navigate the often complex and difficult process of qualifying for and winning government contracts. PTAC is a cooperative program of the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency and the University of Alaska. Candidate must have experience with federal, state and local government contracting procedures, demonstrate knowledge of small business environment, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Fiscal Lead – Anchorage
The Alaska Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hiring a Fiscal Lead for the State Office, located in Anchorage. This position is fiscally responsible for monitoring all funds administered by the SBDC in accordance with Federal, State, and UAA regulations. All procurement requests are reviewed and approved or disapproved by this position. All decisions relating to the movement of expenses from one line item to another, or between fund accounts, are also overseen by this position. This position also reviews all personnel postings and human resources activities of the SBDC. The SBDC promotes the growth and development of small business throughout the state of Alaska through one to one business advising and training.

PTAC is a statewide program responsible for assisting Alaska businesses with their government contracting efforts. Interact with a variety of businesses by helping them prepare for contract opportunities and awards. PTAC is a cooperative program of the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency and the University of Alaska. Candidate must have government contracting and/or knowledge of small business environment. Must also have excellent customer service skills; good verbal and written communication abilities; outstanding organization and time management skills; attention to detail; and experience with social media platforms.
Business Advisor – Anchorage
The Alaska Small Business Development Center is hiring for a full time business advisor in our Anchorage Center. The business advisor must have a background in small business ownership/management. Must have previous experience in business advising, business plans and discussion of financial reports with business owner. Must be comfortable presenting business workshops and hosting events. The SBDC promotes the growth and development of small business throughout the state of Alaska through one to one business advising and training.
