The Arctic Innovation Competition (AIC) isn’t your average invention showcase. It’s a whirlwind of mind-blowing ideas, life-changing prizes, and (let’s be honest) some seriously impressive young innovators. This year, our State Director, Jon (on his 13th judging stint!), was blown away by the sheer creativity on display.
Started in 2009, AIC is Alaska’s original idea contest that awards $45,000 in cash prizes and awards, providing a platform for young, aspiring minds to showcase their talent and turn their dreams into reality. This year’s competition was no exception.
From tackling real-world challenges to unveiling ideas that left everyone scratching their heads in awe (in a good way!), the participants pushed the boundaries of innovation. Their passion and ingenuity were truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to see what they achieve next!
A bonus that our team appreciates is the opportunity to travel to celebrate local businesses and participate in community events, and this year’s AIC was one for the books!
