Join us on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm in Nome at the University of Alaska (UAF) Northwest Campus in the Conference Room for this FREE In-Person workshop on “Nome Business Plan Development Workshop – In Person” presented by our very own Ruth Wolfe, Rural Center Director, Alaska Small Business Development Center (Alaska SBDC).

This workshop will help entrepreneurs understand how to turn a business idea into a clear, usable Business Plan.  Participants will learn what goes into a business plan, why it matters, and how to use it to make better decisions, apply for funding, and communicate your vision clearly.

This workshop will walk you through practical tools like the Business Model Canvas (provided during the workshop), market research, and financial projections, with real Alaska-based examples. This workshop is useful for both new and existing business owners who want a clearer roadmap for their business.

By attending this workshop, participants will learn how to:

  • Break down their business idea using the Business Model Canvas to clarify customers, value, costs, and revenue.
  • Understand the key sections of a business plan and what lenders, grantors, and partners look for.
  • Use research and data to define their target market and analyze competitors.
  • Know when and how a business plan is used for loans, grants, and long-term planning.

This workshop is being provided to you for FREE through a partnership and generous contribution from the Nome Chamber of Commerce!
