Unsure how licensing and taxes work in the Mat-Su Borough?

Join us in Wasilla on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Mat-Su Small Business Development Center (Mat-Su SBDC) for this FREE workshop, “Mat-Su Borough Multi-Jurisdictional Licensing & Tax Compliance – Wasilla,” presented by Maureen Graham, Sales Tax Accountant & Auditor, City of Wasilla.  During this three-hour In-Person workshop in Wasilla, you will learn how licensing and taxes work in the Mat-Su Borough.

By attending this workshop, you will:

  • Gain clarity on licensing and tax requirements across Wasilla, Palmer, Houston, Talkeetna Area 36, and across the Mat-Su Borough, including how they apply to your specific business.
  • Understand sales tax, exemptions, and other local revenue taxes to stay compliant and avoid costly mistakes.
  • Connect directly with local government representatives to ask questions and get practical, real-time guidance.

We are very excited to offer you this informative workshop covering licensing, sales tax, tax exemptions, and other revenue taxes that businesses collect in the areas of Palmer, Wasilla, Houston, Talkeetna Area 36, and across the Matanuska Susitna Borough.  We’ll also be joined by representatives from several local governments, who will be on-site to present and provide answers to your questions about licensing and taxes. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge, clarify any uncertainties, and connect directly with experts from your local jurisdictions.

We hope you’ll join us for this engaging and valuable overview. Please register early, as seating is limited. We look forward to seeing you there!
