Join us in Seward on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Seward Community Library for this FREE workshop on the “Basics of Starting a Business – Seward,” presented by our very own KellyAnn Cavaretta, Seward Small Business Advisor, Alaska SBDC.  Let the Alaska SBDC help guide you through the process of starting a small business.

In this one-hour In-Person workshop in Seward, KellyAnn will go over the basics of self-employment start-ups, including business plan/budget, cash flow management, human resources, legal issues, and managing a business.  You will learn the initial steps and considerations for starting a small business, such as:

  • business licensing
  • legal forms of business
  • business record-keeping
  • hiring employees
  • business planning
  • access to financing
