You Counseling: Telehealth Support
at Your Convenience
Struggling with binge eating, bulimia, anorexia, or other disordered eating can feel incredibly lonely, particularly for Alaskans who are often geographically isolated with limited access to highly specialized treatment options. A longtime resident of Wrangell, AK, and owner of You Counseling, Bethany Burgess provides research-supported counseling that addresses eating issues with a high level of specialization in Alaska; services are provided in person and via a secure telehealth system.
The telehealth method eliminates geographic barriers while serving the state of Alaska with private and convenient counseling. Burgess uses evidence-based best practices for treating eating disorders with individual care and compassion so people anywhere in Alaska can start feeling better as quickly as possible and enjoy long-term success.
As Burgess was starting You Counseling, she worked with the Alaska SBDC in Ketchikan to make her vision a reality. On her start-up experience, she shared, “I feel so grateful for all of the help of the Alaska SBDC has offered me in starting my business. My Alaska SBDC business advisor has been an incredible resource, providing me with individualized support, honest business feedback, and caring encouragement. Without having any business background or training of my own, the Alaska SBDC has been instrumental in guiding me. From the nuts and bolts of my business structure to the nuances of marketing. I feel so lucky to receive all of the assistance the Alaska SBDC has extended to me.”
Business Advisor Kimberlee Hayward gushed on her success; “Bethany is a stellar example of a client who lives in a very remote SEAK community – Wrangell – working successfully with the Alaska SBDC. I can not possibly say enough good things about her as a business owner (and person!)”
With empathy and professionalism, Burgess is making a difference in the state that she loves. Connect with You Counseling at 907-305-0301 or at bethany@youcounseling.com. Questions are always welcome.
