With integrity at their core, Walker Landscapes is building a trusted name in both landscaping and snow removal in South-Central Alaska. Founded in 2021 by father and son Jeff and Seth Walker, Walker Landscapes LLC was born from a shared desire to raise the standard in the landscape construction industry.
Identifying common industry pitfalls such as poor communication, unreliability, and lack of transparency, the Walkers set out to offer a different kind of service: one centered on people centric, quality, honesty, and professionalism. With a clear motto “No matter the expense, we never sacrifice quality” the company quickly earned a reputation for delivering luxury outdoor spaces with exceptional care and precision.
As Walker Landscapes took on increasingly complex and larger projects, the business faced a growing need for additional working capital. This financial pressure, while a sign of growth, required strategic planning and the right partnerships to ensure sustainable scaling.
At the same time, the company was preparing for a re-entry into the snow removal market aiming to expand from seasonal to year-round operations. While their vision was clear, the Walkers needed expert guidance to navigate the financial and structural demands of their next phase.
The Walkers turned to the Mat-Su Alaska Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Jeff and Seth began working with Mat-Su Business Advisor Kristi McDonnell. The Walkers worked with the SBDC to create and refine a detailed business plan, creating financial projections that will help Walker Landscape plan the next 3 years of growth.
