Crab Terror Island: A Community for High-Achievers
Sina Sena spent her childhood in Dutch Harbor, AK, a tight-knit community that serves as the spark of inspiration for her limited-edition design business, Crab Terror Island. In creating her business and cultivating the power of community within it, Sina is building a place where high achievers come together to share, support, and create meaningful purpose.
Sina began working with the Alaska Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Anchorage to grow her business and in working with her business advisor, Lance Ahern, reflected, “It took me nearly 3 years to finally reach out to the Alaska Small Business Development Center, in all honesty, I don’t know why I didn’t before. Wish I would have. What a wealth of information and expertise there is in that office, right in our community! They have amazing classes, many of which I have on my calendar to attend and can link you to industry professionals that you will need as you grow. When I first met with Lance, I didn’t really know what to expect. But he listened and gave me some great feedback and ideas. I left there feeling a little bit more in control of my business path and was thankful for the resources that I had found in the SBDC. Community, it’s a wonderful thing when we can come together and help each other out. That is honestly what SBDC is, a community for us entrepreneurs and business owners!
