Is Your Employee Paperwork Up to Date?

December 15, 2015

Early in the new year, on or before the first pay day in January is a great time for a small business owner to require each employee to complete a new Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate.  The IRS recommends that employees complete a Form W-4 each year or when your personal or financial situation changes.  This allow employees to review their current with holding annually proactively.  While the employer is filing the current Form W-4 they should check each employee file to make sure that the file contains current copies of all required forms and documents like current copies of driver’s licenses for each employee that drives company vehicles.
