Hosted by Alaska SBDC and CED, the event will feature entrepreneurs building solutions for Alaska’s evolving healthcare and community needs
ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska entrepreneurs are developing new approaches to some of the state’s most pressing healthcare and community challenges, and next week, they’ll share those ideas during the Alaska Healthcare Innovation Accelerator (AHIA) Virtual Showcase.
Hosted by the Alaska Small Business Development Center (Alaska SBDC) in partnership with the Center for Economic Development (CED), the live virtual showcase will take place Thursday, May 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. AKST via Zoom.
The event will spotlight founders and early-stage businesses participating in the AHIA, a program supporting entrepreneurs building solutions at the intersection of healthcare, wellness, technology, and community impact.
Over the course of the accelerator, participants worked to strengthen their business models, refine their messaging, and prepare their ideas for long-term growth and real-world implementation across Alaska communities.
“At a time when communities across Alaska are looking for creative solutions to improve quality of life, access to services, and long-term resilience, entrepreneurs are stepping forward with ideas grounded in lived experience and local need,” said Jared Reynolds, Alaska SBDC State Director. “This showcase is an opportunity to celebrate innovation happening right here in Alaska and the people working to turn those ideas into lasting impact.”
The virtual showcase is open to the public and will feature presentations from six accelerator participants.
