As we prepare to close 2025, it’s clear this year ended with momentum rather than slowing down. Earlier this month, we wrapped up our 9th Annual Alaska Small Business Survey, with 866 entrepreneurs and small business owners from across the state sharing their perspectives.

Our team is now digging into the data, and we look forward to releasing the 2026 Alaska Small Business Survey early in the new year…a snapshot that helps inform how we, and our partners, can better support Alaska’s small businesses in the year ahead.
As we head into the final stretch, plans are coming together for the 2026 Alaska SBDC Summit on March 6. We’re intentionally moving toward a smaller, more intimate format designed to foster deeper conversations, stronger connections, and practical takeaways. Be sure to reserve and pay for your seat before January 15 to take advantage of early-bird pricing.
This season also offered a reminder of why supporting local businesses matters. I had the chance to join Shop Small activities around Small Business Saturday and enjoyed being out celebrating local businesses in Downtown Anchorage. That same spirit of local investment shows up throughout this newsletter, from Alaska’s State SSBCI program ranking first in the nation for fund deployment to the many success stories highlighted below.
From all of us at Alaska SBDC, thank you for being part of our community this year. We’re looking forward to what 2026 brings.
