The Alaska Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as our next State Director. This executive role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of entrepreneurship across Alaska, from Anchorage to our most remote communities.
As State Director, you’ll lead Alaska’s premier small business support network, overseeing statewide operations, managing multi-million dollar federal funding streams, and serving as the principal advocate for Alaska’s entrepreneurs. You’ll direct strategic initiatives in capital access, innovation, and rural business development while representing Alaska on the national stage. We’re looking for a proven executive leader with deep small business expertise, grant management experience, and strong connections to Alaska’s business community.
The ideal candidate brings both strategic vision and hands-on experience in economic development. This position is based in Anchorage and offers the chance to make a lasting impact on Alaska’s economic future.
