Reservation Economic Summit

May 8, 2023

Where in the World was the SBDC State Director? In April, at RES!

The Reservation Economic Summit (RES) is a crucial event that provides a platform for Native American entrepreneurs, business owners, tribal leaders, and corporate decision-makers to network, collaborate, and learn from industry experts.

In April, RES 2023 was hosted in Nevada with a record 4,000 people in attendance. Alaska SBDC Executive Director, Jon Bittner, enjoyed attending, making new connections, and speaking in two panels: Assessing a Firm’s Ability to Grow and another hosted by the Treasury, SSBCI Tribal Consortium Programs.

The summit is organized by the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the economic development of Native American communities. The RES covers a wide range of topics, including entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, government contracting, and technology.

The RES is particularly important because it helps to showcase the exciting future of Native American businesses, create opportunities for growth, and support the economic development in Native American communities.
