July 12, 2019

Ten years ago, Matthew G. Corbin, DDS, PA knew that a future in dentistry would be important for not only himself but his family. While serving in the United States Air Force, he attended Boots to Business in Fairbanks, an entrepreneurial education program offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as part of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP).

Through Boots to Business, participants learn the basics of starting and owning a business and it was through this program that Matthew connected with the Alaska Small Business Development Center (Alaska SBDC). He worked with Fairbanks Business Advisor, Alexis Amstutz, to work through his idea in addition to his experience, education, and service. Read his story here!
