What it is: Lemonade Day is a nation-wide endeavor that teaches kids the skills they need to be successful in the future. Youth learn how to start, own, and operate their own small business- a lemonade stand! Participants keep all of the money they earn, but they are encouraged to save a little, spend a little and share a little with a charity of their choice. Lemonade Day is the perfect opportunity for a community to show kids they care and train the next generation of entrepreneurs through a FREE, fun, engaging, and experiential activity.
Why volunteers are needed: We are seeking volunteers to help get kids signed up for the Lemonade Day program, so that these youth can learn valuable skills to start their own small business- a lemonade stand on Lemonade Day (June 14th).
When it is: Saturday, May 17th from 12pm – 4pm at the Loussac Library & from 3pm – 5pm at the Muldoon Library. Set up for the Loussac library is from 9am – 11am and cleanup is from 4 – 5:30pm.
Where it is: At the Loussac library lobby: 3600 Denali St, Anchorage, AK 99503 & at the Muldoon library lobby: 1251 Muldoon Rd # 158, Anchorage, AK 99504.
