Alaska Small Business Development Center

Lemonade Day Registration Event

May 20, 2014

What it is: Lemonade Day is a nation-wide endeavor that teaches kids the skills they need to be successful in the future. Youth learn how to start, own, and operate their own small business- a lemonade stand! Participants keep all of the money they earn, but they are encouraged to save a little, spend a little and share a little with a charity of their choice. Lemonade Day is the perfect opportunity for a community to show kids they care and train the next generation of entrepreneurs through a FREE, fun, engaging, and experiential activity.

Why volunteers are needed: We are seeking volunteers to help get kids signed up for the Lemonade Day program, so that these youth can learn valuable skills to start their own small business- a lemonade stand on Lemonade Day (June 14th).

When it is: Saturday, May 31st from 2:30pm – 4:30pm.

Where it is: At the Mountainview library lobby: 120 Bragaw St, Anchorage, AK 99508.

Who to contact: If you would like to volunteer for this or other Lemonade Day events you can send an email to LemonadeDayAlaska@gmail.com or you can call Natasha Callen, the Lemonade Day Coordinator, at 907-786-6527.
