State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI)

The State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) is a federally funded program designed to attract lenders and investors to support businesses that may not qualify for traditional bank loans.

The Alaska SBDC serves as the administrative lead for the program in Alaska, working to deploy funding through lenders and investment funds. Over the life of the program, the Alaska SBDC at UAA’s Business Enterprise Institute will help facilitate hundreds of millions in private-sector funding into Alaska’s small businesses over the next decade. Contact an Alaska SBDC Business Advisor for more information.

Technology Research Education and Development Center (TREND)

The Technology Research Education and Development Center of Alaska (TREND) has a central mission to assist Alaska’s small businesses and entrepreneurs in commercializing their technology and assist Alaska businesses to compete and win federal research and development grants. TREND offers cash awards and proposal writing assistance to develop SBIR grant applications.

For more information about how Alaska SBDC’s TREND program can help you, contact the Alaska SBDC at 907-786-7201 or via email.
