SSBCI April 2024 Update

The Alaska SSBCI program ​has helped connect $46 million in loans across 23 communities to support 58 businesses.

Notably, 50 businesses identified as socially and economically disadvantaged (SEDI), and 40 were very small businesses (VSB) with less than ten employees!

So far, 50% of funds went to equipment, 37% specifically for aircraft, and the other 50% for traditional commercial activities like startups, credit lines, and commercial real estate.

With a wide range of loan sizes, the smallest being $21,000 and the largest reaching $8 million, the local impact is significant for Alaska’s Main Street!
