Alaska SBDC Announces Ian Grant as our State Star

August 19, 2015

Ian GrantAlaska Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Executive Director Isaac Vanderburg announced that Ian Grant has been selected as the 2015 State Star of the Alaska SBDC.

“I am thrilled that Ian’s colleagues have recognized his hard work and dedication to Juneau’s small businesses by selecting him for this award,” says Vanderburg. “Over the past year Ian has helped folks get small business loans, put together growth plans, and even buy and sell small businesses. He is an invaluable resource to his community and a strong leader within our own organization”.

Ian Grant plays many roles for the SBDC including Assistant State Director and Juneau Center Director. Grant was nominated for this honor because of the strong relationships he has built in his community as well as the work he has done to increase the organization’s online offerings for those who do not live close to a physical SBDC location.

Every year, America’s Small Business Development Center (ASBDC) Network recognizes top performers nationwide at its Annual Conference. A special awards reception honoring the 2015 State Stars will be held in September at the national conference.
