Alaska SBDC houses the TREND program (Technology Research and Development Center of Alaska), the central mission of which is to assist Alaska’s small businesses and entrepreneurs in commercializing their technology and assist Alaska businesses to compete and win federal research and development grants. TREND offers cash awards and proposal writing assistance to develop, among other things, SBIR/STTR funding program to assist entrepreneurs and inventors with commercializing certain technologies.
