Many people think cooperatives are only used for marketing agricultural products or producing electricity, but in reality they are successfully used in a wide range of businesses. Cooperatives are used to pool purchasing power to reduce costs to member businesses, and they are used to provide services at a scale that increases efficiency and reduces costs.
This 40-minute course will provide explain what cooperatives are and how they differ from other types of business entities. The presenter will also discuss how cooperatives have been used by businesses to reduce costs.
