Callie’s Cakery

Callie Jeffreys came to the Alaska Small Business Development Center as she and her husband, Levi, prepared a business plan for her new business Callie’s Cakery in Fairbanks. Callie had years of experience in retail, customer service and business management and wanted to put it to use doing something she loved: baking. Business Advisor Alexis Amstutz Fanelli worked through several iterations of financial projections with the Jeffreys before they approached a bank for funding – a huge milestone for a first-time business owner.Callie of Callie's Cakery in Fairbanks

“The moment I walked into Alexis’ office I knew she was the person who would help us and our business grow and get started,” said Callie. “I felt completely taken care of and I’m grateful for the work they do.”

Callie’s Cakery is the first novelty wedding and cake shop to provide free delivery and set up in the Fairbanks community and their products include cake pops, cupcakes, novelty and wedding cakes. The Jeffreys started Callie’s Cakery as a way to become closer to their community by providing great products and service to Fairbanks residents, regardless of income. Check them out in person at 213 Farewell Avenue or through their website.
