ROPE – Rural Outreach Program for Entrepreneurs 

ROPE, the Rural Outreach Program for Entrepreneurs, has a mission to provide small business startup and growth tools to rural Southeast Alaska, through free workshops and one-on-one business consulting. We want to improve the lives of Southeast Alaskans by helping new businesses become healthy businesses.

ROPE serves the following communities in the Southeast and Western areas of Alaska:

• Southeast: Angoon, Elfin cove, Gustavus, Kake, Pelican, Tenakee Springs, Wrangell, Yakutat, Craig, Klawock, Hydaburg, Thorne Bay, Skagway, Sitka and Ketchikan.
• Western: Akiachak, Akiak, Alakanuk, Andreafsky, Aniak, Atmautluak, Bethel, Billmoore’s SI (Kotlik), Chefornak, Chevak, Chuathbaluk, Chuloonawick, Crooked Creek, Eek, Emmonak, Georgetown, Goodnews Bay, Hamilton (Kotlik), Hooper Bay, Kalskag, Lower Kalskag, Upper Kasigluk, Kipnuk, Kongiganak, Kotlik, Kwethluk, Kwigillingok, Lime Village, Marshall, Mekoryuk, Mountain Village, Napaimute, Napakiak, Napaskiak, Newtok, Nightmute, Nunapitchuk, Ohogamiut, Oscarville, Paimiut, Pilot Station, Pitka’s Point, Quinhagak, Red Devil, Russian Mission, Scammon Bay, Nunam Iqua, Sleetmute, St. Mary’s, Algaaciq, Stony River, Nunakauyak, Toksook, Tulusak, Tuntutuliak, Tununak, and Umkumiut.
